Rohilkhand University Organises Literary and Cultural Events During Hindi Fortnight

Bareilly: Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University, Bareilly, is organising a series of literary and cultural activities as part of Hindi Fortnight to promote the Hindi language and enhance interest, respect and awareness of Hindi language and literature among students, teachers and non-teaching staff.

Following approval from the Vice-Chancellor, coordinators have been appointed for the smooth and organised conduct of various programmes. Prof. Vijay Bahadur Yadav has been appointed as the coordinator for the Hindi Fortnight celebrations.

The activities will include a poetry recitation competition coordinated by Prof. Vivek Gupta and Dr. Pawan Kumar Singh; a handwriting competition coordinated by Dr. Jyoti Pandey and Dr. Amit Verma; an essay competition coordinated by Dr. Abha Trivedi and Dr. Ajay Yadav; and a quiz competition coordinated by Prof. Anita Tyagi and Dr. Saurabh Verma.

A typing competition will be coordinated by Mamta Singh, Deputy Registrar, while the Kavi Sammelan and prize distribution ceremony will be coordinated by Prof. Ashutosh Priya and Dr. Preeti Yadav.

According to the university office order, students, teachers and non-teaching employees can participate in the poetry recitation, handwriting, essay and quiz competitions. The typing competition will be organised exclusively for non-teaching employees.

The university administration has asked all deans and heads of departments to encourage teachers, research scholars, students and non-teaching employees in their respective faculties and departments to participate actively and ensure maximum involvement in the programmes.

The administration said Hindi Fortnight provides an important opportunity to strengthen the university’s linguistic, literary and cultural consciousness. Besides promoting interest and respect for Hindi among members of the university community, the initiative will provide a platform for creative talent.
